Through TLM, curriculum developers and instructors:

  • produce effective learning materials and tests
  • deliver courses in the classroom or at a distance, over the Internet or an intranet
  • monitor and manage learner progress
  • communicate with learners in the classroom or at a distance
Through TLM, learners:

  • access online learning materials
  • take online tests to identify what they have mastered and what is outstanding
  • communicate with instructors and other learners in the classroom or at a distance
IMS/AICC CERTIFIED

The TLM development group is a member of the IMS Developers' Network. TLM version 3.2 is AICC certified.

The mandate of IMS is threefold:

  • to devise standards for locating and operating interactive platform-independent materials
  • to support the collaborative and dynamic nature of learning
  • to provide incentives and structures for developing and sharing content
TLM has evolved from the CML (Computer Managed Learning), LMS (Learning Management System), and CIS (Curriculum Information System) learning systems which date back over 20 years.

It is in use around the world in colleges, universities, schools, and businesses.
